Advantages of sealed double row full complement cylindrical roller bearings

Sealed double row full complement cylindrical roller bearing is a type of bearing designed to carry heavy loads. It has an extremely high load-carrying capacity for the same width and a small radial cross-section to save space compared to conventional type bearings with cages. The bearing has a center retaining edge on the outer ring, which can withstand axial loads in both directions and is used as a locating bearing. In order for the bearings to work properly, they must be subjected to a certain minimum load, i.e., C/P < 25, under continuous operation; otherwise, the wear will be aggravated by insufficient lubrication and high-speed operation.

Sealed double row full complement cylindrical roller bearing applications

The application scenarios of sealed double row full complement cylindrical roller bearings include but are not limited to the following:

Lifting equipment, such as rope sheaves for cranes, hoists, etc., are used to withstand radial and axial loads and have good sealing performance.

Lifting equipment, such as pulleys for axial positioning in both directions and to withstand certain tilting moments.

Gearbox mechanism: suitable for ultra-high loads and medium speeds.

Continuous pipe drilling rigs: adopting a new sealing structure that can withstand certain axial loads and solve the problems of poor lubrication and large axial runout.

Coal mining equipment: double-row cylindrical roller bearings have the advantages of compact structure, high rigidity, strong bearing capacity, etc. They are widely used in various coal mining equipment.

Which is better cylindrical roller bearing or deep groove ball bearing?

Cylindrical roller bearings and deep groove ball bearings, which are better, need to be judged according to the specific needs. If you need to withstand large radial and axial loads, and the speed requirements are not high, cylindrical roller bearings may be a better choice; if you need to withstand smaller radial and axial loads, and the speed requirements are high, deep groove ball bearings may be more suitable.

What are the disadvantages of cylindrical roller bearings?

Cylindrical roller bearings have some of the following main aspects that may be considered disadvantages:

1. Relatively weak axial load carrying capacity: compared with some other types of bearings, their ability to withstand axial loads alone is limited.

2. High requirements for mounting accuracy: improper mounting may affect their performance and life.
